After asking Tweeters about Rat bait and harmfulness to other wildlife my
husband came home with a trap and said he was putting peanut butter in it.
My concern for wildlife must be rubbing off on him. So far he has caught 1
baby rat. The problem we are having is that the squirrels are dragging the
trap about 4 or 5 feet, successfully releasing the spring and getting the
peanut butter. He then placed the trap further under the shrub but the
squirrels are still causing problems.
