I took a friend up Mt. Si this morning, and on our way, about a mile in,
two owls landed in the trees nearby, one below us and about 20 feet away.
It certainly looked like a spotted owl, but I suppose it could have been a
barred. Anyone know one way or the other? A few minutes later, we heard
a lot of squeaking off in the distance that sounded like it might be the
nest.
