Dear fellow tweeters:

Friday morning, I left the sacred precincts of Federal Way and headed east
with the ultimate goal of finding the white-faced ibis near Othello, birding
all the way. I took I-90 to Vantage, caught highway 26 on the other side of
the bridge. Once in Othello I followed Mcmannoman rd all the way to
Frenchman Hills, did part of Dodson Rd, got tired and went back to Othello.
Today, I got up early and did the Lower Crab Creek back to Vantage again and
home. I did NOT see the Ibis (sob) but here is a list of what I did see. I
have two mystery birds I going to ask for help about in a separate posting.
I will asterisk the ones herein listed that I am not sure of.
Starting in Cle Elum:

Osprey (probably but very light)* from very close up (right over my car, in
fact)
Western Gull (possibly but some confusion) (I love/hate gulls!)
Black-necked Stilt (a plethora yelling their heads off) (on Pond just north
of Othello)
American Avocet (on same pond and hordes of them on pond about 10 miles fm
Othello
Northern Shoveler
Yellow-headed Blackbird
Red-winged Blackbird
a possible Tri-colored Blackbird
three Emus looking like prehistoric monsters next to the hordes of Avocets
American Coots
Common Nighthawk (Lower Crab Creek)
