Just yesterday my Mom described seeing an ELEGANT TROGON in our
backyard. She was telling me about this beautiful bird, and I immediately
got the impression of a trogon. Here descriptions was like this:

bright red/white underbelly
electric green breast
longish tail
fairly big, plumpish - larger than a flicker

I showed her trogons in the National Geographic guide and she pointed out the
Eared Trogon, and told me she thought she saw a hint of blue.
So I was wondering if anybody knows of any escapee trogons or any
other parrot-related birds that might be around. I highly doubt that this is
an extreme rarity, but I thought I'd let you all know.
