This is Kas Dumroese with the northern Idaho / eastern Washington /
northeastern Oregon bird hotline.

Winnie Hepburn called in some good birds from eastern Washington. A
HARLEQUIN DUCK was seen along Sullivan Creek, 2-3 miles upstream of
Sullivan Lake, in Pend Oreille County, Washington on June 11. Winnie
also reports a possible BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRD at a feeder in
Metalline Falls, Pend Oreille County, Washington that same day. WA
DeLorme p.119, B-6-7. Farther south at Cusick were displaying
BOBOLINKS. WA DeLorme p.105, B-6.

Winnie reports 4 BURROWING OWLS 2 miles outside of Othello, Adams
County, Washington on June 12. WA DeLorme p.53, B-7. She also saw
WHITE-THROATED SWIFTS at Palouse Falls SP in southwestern Whitman
County, Washington on June 12. WA DeLorme p.55, C-7.

Two singing LEAST FLYCATCHERS were at Kootenai NWR west of Bonners
Ferry, Boundary County, Idaho on June 11. The birds were observed by
Charles Swift, Dave Holick, myself, and 10 others. The birds are at
the north end of the refuge at Cascade Pond Overlook along Westside
Road. Just north of the parking area is a gated road that can be
walked along. The birds are calling from the cottonwoods just a
little ways up the road. Also there were AMERICAN REDSTARTS and a
PILEATED WOODPECKER. ID DeLorme p.62, A-3.
