Hi all . . .

Aplodontias are eaters of rhododendron leaves! I had one take up residence
in my garage which is open during the day because of my goose and he would
go back and forth doing whatever leaving a trail of rhododendron twigs,
leaves, and flowers which he had kindly pruned for me! He/she/it didn't
like the door being closed at night, however, and tried valiantly to
escape, much to Lucifer's (goose) chagrin. After a couple nights he seemed
to settle in and, I am assuming, eventually got tired of living in the
garage since I haven't seen him lately. No odor, either, so I know he
didn't go in there and die. They're interesting little creatures.

Cheers, Diann
