Hello Tweets,

My mother and I birded a half day in Thurston Co.at two locations. We
started at the Lacey Clearcut, where birding was quite productive with
overcast skies. Highlights included 1 NORTHERN GOSHAWK(3-time occurance in
2 months at the exact location), 1 VESPER SPARROW, and good numbers of ALL
the regular nesting species at this location such as: CHIPPING SPARROW,
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, WILLOW FLYCATCHER, and PURPLE FINCH to mention a
few of the species. Our next location was made at the Weir Prairie near
Rainier, where a male NORTHERN BOBWHITE was heard and seen, as was 1 VESPER
SPARROW, 2 HOUSE WRENS, 1 WESTERN BLUEBIRD, 2 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS, 4
WESTERN MEADOWLARKS, 1 AM.KESTREL, and like the Lacey Clearcut good numbers
of CHIPPING SPARROWS.
