If they have an Alder Flycatcher recording from Washington they neglected to
tell anyone here about it. Curiously, the first Peterson LP record of bird
songs had a Least Flycatcher recording listed as from Washington on it. Sure
enough, when we made enquiries, it had been recorded near Anacortes by a
Cornell University field trip and never subsequently published. I believe it
proved to be the first state record. It would have gone unrecorded if we
hadn't happened to notice the anomalous liner note information. Still, I'd
like to see some confirmation of the source of this Alder Flycatcher song.
