I've gradually come to the conclusion that birders are not necessarily
environmentalists just as environmentalists are not necessarily birders.
However, birders, listers, chasers, or whatever, need to be reminded
occasionally that without habitat there will be no birds to see, list or
chase. Habitat protection should be everyone's number one priority, IMHO.
