I will be visiting Portland at the end of March for the annual meeting of
the Cooper's Ornithological Society. I will be driving my own car so I am
interested in some suggestions for great places to bird around Portland and
between Pullman, WA, and Portland.

In particular, I am interested in adding the following species to my life
list:
White-tailed Kite
Red-breasted Sapsucker
Bushtit
Anna's Hummingbird
(are Allen's Hummers possible in Portland).

I have the birder's guide to Oregon and an Oregon DeLorme atlas. I am
particularly interested in locations that would be easy to sneak off to for
the afternoon when my brain has been blown away by all of the amazing
research other people are doing!

Please reply to me personally at dbeutler at wsunix.wsu.edu .

Thanks in advance.
