I agree with Mike. Everyone keyed on Varied Thrush, but the typical
sound I know the thrush by is not a typical penny whistle type song.

I will admit to not being an expert on all the calls of the Varied
Thrush, but as a penny whistler, I can make a reasonable duplication
of some Bewick's wren songs, a not as sweet but still recognizable
winter wren sonata, and several other possible birds.

So unless we have confirmation, I'm not on the Varied Thrush bandwagon,
much as I love them.
