Green Valley, near Madera Canyon (the Santa
Rita Mountains), is a retirement community
(45 and older, ouch, as of last week I
qualify) a couple of hours south of Tucson.
It's about what you'd expect, though, new
tract-type houses, mall-based shopping,
etc. Some folks like this.
Patagonia's in the heart of good birding
country if she'd enjoy living in a more
diverse, smaller, and "normal" (can't think
of a good word here) community.
