Yep. In a pers. comm, John Ireland, the Reifel Refuge manager, counted at
least 147 males alone (females almost certainly present but not counted) in
a field at or near the Reifel Refuge in Ladner BC (30 km south of Vancouver)
during a freeze one winter in late January. He said there were likely more
but that viewing conditions prvented him from seeing either females or
additional males.

Though John is an exemplary observer, being one of those Brit birders who's
both highly skilled and and painstakingly precise, I don't believe the the
Vancouver (BC) Natural History Society deemed that particular contribution
to be credible at the time. Pity.
