Hi all,
Went out yesterday in hopes of bagging a five falcon day. Alas, I only saw
two - a beautiful Kestrel and a Peregrine. Had a possible Merlin but the
darn was in the next county by the time I could get pulled off safely to
give it a look. No Gyr (maybe it's gone north already?). No Prairie. Did
see one Short-eared Owl perched on a fence post and one absolutely gorgeous
rufous-morph Red-tail. The hawks and Eagles were out in HUGE numbers. Saw
many Harriers and Rough-leggeds as well. It was windy up there and COLD but
otherwise a wonderful day.

Lots of people out looking for that Gyrfalcon. Wonder if anyone found it?
