For the first time ever I had a pigeon at my platform feeder right by the
window. It was a Band-Tailed Pigeon, it seemed to be having a very, very hard
time breathing. It tried to eat, but it obviously had trouble. It had
convulsions every now and again, and become erect then squat. It seemed to
want to vomit really badly, but just couldn't seem to do it. To me, it looked
like it had something in it's throat, and the more it ate, the less room there
was for air to pass through it's lungs.

What's going on? Should we try to capture it and take it to a vet or
rehabilitation center, or is it just some kind of thing that it does? Is this
normal?

Thanks for any info,

Tyler
