In the book DUCKS, GEESE AND SWANS by Bellrose, two canada geese show
white neck rings at the base of their necks.

The Aleutian race - leucopareia sp. has a more prominent ring than the
Lesser race -parvipes sp.

I have foud this book a good one for some of the difficult IDs
With the ducks, it show drkes in eclipes - full, partial, and emerging

Also has color plate of young downy ducks and young sea ducks.

Also graphs for where to find the bird and where......for fall, for
spring,
Map of u.s. with migration corridor populations, breeding poplations,
and winter areas

This book is worth haveing.
