Okay, while driving home today I spied a small group of CANADA GEESE.
In this group were light fronted and dusky fronted geese. These dusky
geese were about the same size as the pale fronted Canadas. One of the
geese was considerably larger than the others - both dusky and pale. I'm
not sure what color breast this huge one had, as its back was to me as I
drove past. Is this yet another sub species or race of Canada Goose?

Awhile back I saw some geese with white necklaces at the base of the neck
at the breastbone. These necklaced geese were not mallard sized like I
thought "Cacklers" were supposed to be. Are these necklaced geese of
mixed ancestry?

Other goose questions. Some of the "standard sized geese" have two
different neck builds. Is this a gender difference? These geese have
very slender swan like necks and the others have thick necks. The rest
of their bodies appear to be about the same size.

All of these geese have been observed in the area between the Kent Ponds
and Meeker in Kent.
