Kathy,

I think I can answer one of your questions..

>Okay, just one more question...the Kent Ponds and the Ole Fishing Hole are
>they one in the same? Are they the Kent-Frager RoaD Tower Ponds?

The Ole Fishin' Hole is south of the Kent Ponds/Green River Natural
Resource Area. Fishin' Hole is adjacent to the Riverbend Golf Course on
West Meeker in Kent. If you're going west on Meeker, it's just past the
Green River bridge on the south side of the road.

The Kent Ponds, now called the Green River Natural Resource Area - a City
of Kent Wildlife refuge is between Russell Road and S. 64th. It's just
south of the Animal Shelter and 212th. It's open to the public, but has
pretty odd hours. You can still get alot of bird and critter watching
done from the Power Line Trail that skirts the south edge of the area.
I'll park in the warehouse parking lot across the street from the Power
Line Trail and head out on the trail from there. The trail goes along
side the ponds and you've got great views without ever going in the area
itself.

Oh, and The Green River Trail system is near both the Ole Fishin' Hole
and the Kent Ponds/GRNRA. On this trail I've seen quite a variety of
birds, even when I'm NOT looking for them. This trail system takes you
well past the point where the Green turns into the Duwamish.
