Thanks so much to Michelle for her info on House Finch's foot problems!
It truly does sound like Pox, I've researched since then, and am now taking
down the feeders to bleach. It seems I'll have to leave them down for a
couple weeks, as I've had 2 or more infected. It is spread thru mosquitos and
can be transmitted by their droppings ect...HORROR!!!! I haven't found
anything on it being transmitted to humans, but I believe Michelle is right
and I give her kudo's from myself and my backyard birds! I read that we
should report any bird disease to Wildlife Officials,
anybody have a # for N.W. Washington?
Also thanks to Marti for giving me help with the birding spots in the valley.
