according to my pilot log, I saw a Burrowing Owl at the
Olympia Airport June 14, 1984. It was standing on a culvert
near the hangars. I kept seeing it for 3 or 4 days and
on June 17 I retrieved a pellet.

I never saw it again after that and didn't realize at the
time what a rare sighting this really was.
