The excellent "A Birder's Guide to Florida" by Bill Pranty has the following
suggestions for the greater Orlando. Areas with an * are the best.

Downtown Orlando - *Mead Botanical Gardens - FL Audubon Center for Birds of
Prey

Northwest Orlando - *Wekiwa Springs State Park - *Zellwood - *Trimble Co. Park
- Rock Springs Run State Reserve

Southwest Orlando - Tibet-Butler Preserve

Northeast Orlando - Spring Hammock Preserve - *Orlando Wetlands Park

Southeast Orlando - Tosohatchee State Reserve - *Orange County Eastern Water
Reclamation Facility

Your best chance for manatees would probably be Manatee Springs or Homosassa
Springs on the Gulf Coast, north of Tampa.
