Hi Tweets,

I just returned from a brief trip to central California (Monterrey bay and
San Louis Obispo). I used the new edition of the Lane guide to birding in
So Cal, and I thought folks might be interested to know that the new edition
is really improved and worked great. The maps are more detailed and very
accurate. The tips for where to find the target birds are updated. The
suggested spot for LeConte's Thrasher worked for us, in the middle of the
day!

There are added sections about where to go to find California Condors.
We had a rental car so we couldn't get all the way up to the Condor site,
but we went part way up until the road became too rough, and we saw some
great country (also Lawrence's Goldfinch and Yellow-billed Magpie).
