This afternoon (Fri 3/19) I happened to drop down to Oak Bay State Park,
near Marrowstone Island. I pulled out the scope and found over 100 Brant
eating and socializing in the little lagoon next to the park. More kept
flying in as I watched for over 2 hours, looks like they were settling in
for the night when I left, so they may still be there on Sat. I have
never seen more than half dozen at once before in my life. What a
beautiful sight!
