I lead a trip up the Gorge Saturday, March 20, we came up with sixty-one
species. The best birds were a pair of PEREGRINE FALCONS at their nest
site at Beacon Rock State Park in Skamania County. The male TUFTED DUCK
was at Locke Lake, the first lake just East of Bingen, Klickitat County.
( Thanks to Dennis Rockwell who spotted our group of birders and stopped
to tell us where this bird was). And a pair of ACORN WOODPECKERS and
GOLDEN EAGLE at Balch Road, also in Klickitat County.
