A dead BLACK-FOOTED ALBATROSS was recovered by Keith Chandler of the
Seaside Aquarium near the mouth of the Necannicum Estuary at Seaside
on March 14.

About 1000 SANDERLINGS were on the beach between Sunset Access and
Gearhart Approach yesterday. The number of DUNLIN has dropped to only
30 or so.

VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS were checking out the nestbox at my house today.

I did a very short seawatch (15 min) from the south jetty of the
Columbia River. There was a noticeable movement of PACIFIC LOONS and
WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS, but other expected species were in very low
numbers.
