I remember reading a Tweeters report of Burrowing Owls at the Kent Ponds
but I believe it may have been from someone of unknown qualifications.

Burrowing Owls in western Washington are rare and anyone who sees one
should look for a band since many have been released in Canada (southeast
British Columbia and Alberta, I believe) in a reintroduction effort. Some of
these birds could end up in western Washington at one time or another.
