Just a note of confirmation that our party from the SAS, led by Jan
Bragg, had good viewing of the BURROWING OWL previously reported from
Sunday. This bird was perched on one leg until it spotted a dog ( on
leash, thank you!). The bird put both legs down and assumed a slight
crouch. Its eyes never left the dog as it walked pass. When the dog
was far enough away, the owl resumed the one leg stance. I could see no
tags or bands on this bird.

Thanks to the nameless birder who shared the news of this birds presence
with us.
