Today Clarice and I went to Kent Ponds to maybe see the mountain
bluebird, and we had the good fortune of seeing another one--this one
a female. It was scarfing bugs off of the board that runs along the
top of the fence where it parallels the power lines, also sallying up
for bugs a couple of time. Maybe time for some bluebird boxes there.

Other birds we noticed were a wing-tagged mature male harrier, a
peregrine,a male kestrel and the usual bald eagles, redtails, young
harriers, and cetera. Clarice saw a northern shrike.

there was a Ross' goose in the field in front of Boeing, very close
to the access road, where the bill shape and color were easy to see
