Subject: Very strange sparrow at Shoreview Park, Shoreline

Hey All,
I've seen this sparrow only once briefly, and basically have let Michael
go look at it, because I've been extremely busy. This bird is NOT a
"Northern Red" type Fox Sparrow, or some other subspecies of Song
Sparrow. I have experience with both species around the country. I'd be
interested in seeing photos of a Dark-eyed Junco x any other sparrow sp.,
or any aberrant Song or Swamp Sparrows.
As Michael said the auricular patch is the most amazing thing. Almost
reminded me of some kind of Bulbul.
Looking forward to some interesting ideas....
Cheers,
jdcs
