One of the things I love about my job is the view I have out my office
window.

Every day this week, so far, I've seen Stewart out hunting. It's amazing,
what he does with the flocks of starlings. The acrobatics on display are
incredible.

I've only seen him take a starling once this week, though. What's the
usual kill rate for peregrines? He's been doing an awful lot of flying
for one little starling! Could he be doing it "for fun"? (Or other
reasons than hunting) I watched him chase the flocks for about an hour
one day, without getting anything. Then he stopped and casually flew
away, sort of meandering around downtown. He left some mighty upset
starlings in his wake - they didn't settle down for about an hour
afterwards.
