I bought one of those tri-packs, but I never got the hang of it... I'm not
very tall, and if I tried to carry it with the legs fully extended, the
whole thing would hit the ground behind me...so the scope was not easy to
deploy quickly. I suppose if you're over 5'8'' tall, you wouldn't have this
problem, but I'm not sure. I ended up donating mine to Seattle Audubon as a
Birdathon prize...
