Last Sunday, 3/21, I heard my first Puget Sound White-crowned Sparrow in
west Olympia, in typical "parking-lot-edge" habitat. It's an early date
for 12 years listening. Haven't heard one since.

The Violet-green Swallows have not yet returned in force; they're due this
weekend, if my calendar is correct. (I have encountered scattered swallows
in Olympia and Seattle, but they're still not ubiquitous.)
