Hi Hugh,

I have the tripak and it works quite well. I cannot walk with the legs fully
extended but it is possible to keep one section down. I have a Swarovski
scope and it makes a top heavy load. You have to be careful when you take it
off your shoulders that it doesn't drop fast.

It really does take a load off your shoulders. I usually only backpack it
whenever I am going quite a distance at one time.

It is worth it!
