Tweets,
I had a 4 thrush morning at Schmitz Park in West Seattle. The species were
the usual nesting Robin, a Hermit Thrush seen, a Swainson's Thrush heard
singing and a Varied Thrush singing. While not amazingly rare the real
interesting thing was that all 4 species were within a 50 meter point
count that was chosen at random, so the odds of having all four there are
pretty great.
Other new arrivals included Wilson's Warbler and Pacific-slope Flycatcher
at Camp Long, lots of Black-throated Grays a few Orange-crowns and another
Hermit Thrush seen at Discovery park on the loop trail between the east
and north parking lots.
I remember a thread on Pileated woodpecker in Seattle and I wanted to say
that Schmitz is always a good place for them, heard a couple this morning
and I had two seperate individuals on the north section of the loop trail
at Discovery.
