Subject: White Headed Woodpecker

A few weeks ago there was a request for White Headed Woodpecker sightings.
One was sighted April 27,1999 at 3:00 PM on the south shore of Lake Chelan
about 3 miles north of the State Park, in a maple tree just in from the
shoreline. It poked around in the tree a bit and then flew off. It hasn't
been seen since.

The same day one or two Band-Tailed Pigeons were sighted in that same area.
This blows me away since I thought they were only found on the west side of
the Cascades.
