Sightings for Wednesday, May 5

Iona had a BLACK-NECKED STILT and a WILSON'S PHALAROPE on the NW pond

Sightings for Tuesday, May 4

Rare bird alert for a PALM WARBLER. The bird was seen along the north dike
of Sea Island. To reach the location, park at the south end of the Iona
causeway and walk east along the dike until you reach a point, roughly
opposite the NE corner of the airport, where two ditches intersect. The
bird was seen on the north side of the dike.

The BLACK-NECKED STILT, ten SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS and four BLUE-WINGED TEAL
were on the inner ponds at Iona. A PARASITIC JAEGER and an AMERICAN
GOLDEN-PLOVER were at the tip of the Iona south jetty.

The polo field at 176th and 8th Ave in Surrey had 331 WHIMBREL and 7
DOWITCHERS.

In a late report for Monday, the CASSIN'S AUKLET was between Canada Place
and the Helijet pad.

Sightings for Monday, May 3

The BLACK-NECKED STILT and a female WILSON'S PHALAROPE were on the inner
ponds at Iona. The Iona south jetty had an AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER. A
HARRIS' SPARROW was in a yard in the 2600 block of West 15th in Vancouver.

In a Late report for Sunday, the monthly survey of the Squamish Estuary
produced a LEWIS' WOODPECKER, a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE and a MOUNTAIN
BLUEBIRD

In a late report for Friday, Reifel had the spring arrival BLUE-WINGED
TEAL.
