hello tweets;

i was at the u-bookstore yesterday and saw that they have a big
pile of the new 3rd edition of national geographic's birds of
north america available in the birds section. i peeked at it
briefly, and noticed that they have added a lot of pictures, and
they've added some new species, too. the range maps have been
re-drawn and are easier to read than before because they are
using different colors; orange=summer, blue=winter, purple=all
year. i liked the old color scheme better (yellow, blue, green)
since it made intuitive sense, even though i can understand how
it would be difficult to decipher bird summering ranges, at least.)

the book is $21.95.
