Folks,

For several weeks this "spring," we've had a scrub jay in our neighborhood
(Madison Valley, just south of the Arboretum in Seattle). I've never seen
one on this side of the mountains (at least not this far north). I
haven't seen/heard him for a few days, but thought I'd ask -- how uncommon
are scrub jays here?

Our neighborhood seems to have quite a few interesting backyard birds --
Bewick's wrens, hairy woodpeckers, sharp-shins, flickers, and even a
swainson's thrush (must have notice my last name on the mailbox!). If any
other tweeters live in the neighborhood, I'd love to hear what you've seen
around here.
