We noticed a Robin land on the front walkway this morning. It had an egg
in its mouth, and then it dropped it on the ground. It turned out to be
just half of the egg shell, and it looked like it was from a freshly
hatched egg, as it was still wet inside. I wonder if the Robin took the
time to carry the egg shell away from the nest, in order to keep predators
from locating the nest?
