A great place to see Violet-green Swallows up close is on the trail at
Tumwater Falls Park in Tumwater, south of Olympia. I *think* there were a
few Vaux's Swifts mixed in, too. They're smaller and darker than V-G
Swallows, right? Do they also have short, narrow tails and look like
they're flailing around with their wings when they fly?

One can also see V-Gs at Capitol Lake in Olympia, along with Barns and
Northern Rough-wings (more to come on Capitol Lake).
