Dear Tweeters,
Having a fairly steady stream of yellow rumped warblers, both kinds, bathing
in our butyl pond in the backyard today. Warblers sure seem to take a lot
more baths than other birds. At one point there were 3 Savannah Sparrows and
a Myrtle bathing together. Anybody who doesn't see enough Yellow rumped
Warblers should install bathing facilities. If it's a pond , make sure part
is really shallow, they don't go near the deep end unless there's a lifeguard,
and that's a whole lot more expense. This is very ordinary urban neighborhood
habitat on Beacon Hill.
