It may be, though I don't know. But I do know that a lot of species hang out
with others..right off the bat, I can think of a couple...chickadees and
bushtits always seem to hanging out with each other. One fine day at
Nisqually (pre-flood) I was standing on the path and was suddenly surrounded
by a cloud of chickadees, bushtits, ruby crowned kinglets, and a golden
crowned kinglet.
Other groupings I've seen have been snow geese and sandhill cranes (I think
everyone likes sandhills) and of course, mallards will hang out with just
about anybody.
