Hello Tweeters,
This is kind of strange message. We was looking for the Snowy Plover on
Damon Point today, when this incident occured. Bill Smith mention in his
message to speak out on people who are crossing over in to breeding Habitat
for the Snowy Plovers. We this starting out, when we saw three people with
a dog walking in to the off Limit where the signs are. I start yelling real
loud to halt going further, which got completly ignored.I went than back to
the parking lot to waite on them. When i confronted them and told them
about this decreasing species and wy this area is of limit to all the
public, there told me what i am going to do about this.So i told them i
will take there Auto License and turn them in. There left in a hurry.
Patrick already went ahead, so we looked about on hour for this birds, with
no avail. We even broke up in order to cover more area. When Patrick came
finaly, he told me that he also had two people trying to walk in the Snoy
Plover habitat, but after patrick told them there listen to Patrick and
took the other way around back to the Parking lot. This is two incidents
this in one hour. How many people will cross all day long? It realy would
help when the sign would say that this people who crossing have to pay some
kind of FINE.
