Nice report William. I also walked around Nisqually this weekend. I am so
happy to hear that the wooden walkways that have been built there are
already being used by handicapped folks to go birdwatching. While the
current construction seems to have disturbed things a bit at Nisqually,
hopefully that will end soon.

Our group saw Pileated and Downy Woodpeckers, and a Red-breasted Sapsucker,
right near the parking lot. The best bird of the day (for me) was a Purple
Martin, seen at the Southeast corner of the large loop trail. We also saw a
mink near there.
