Hi Tweets,

Just a quick note to let you know that there were a lot
of shorebirds at the ponds Sunday afternoon. The most unusual
was a Pectoral Sandpiper. Also seen were 11-12 Semipalmated
Plovers (high count for here), 1 Lesser Yellowlegs and 1 Greater,
several Dunlin, Killdeer, a Long-billed Dowitcher and several
Dowitcher sp. (not an unusual "sp." at the ponds), and lots
of peep: about 300 Westerns and 50 Leasts. I observed the birds
with scope and bins from the South border of the ponds; they
were almost all at the South end of the Westernmost pond.
