I thought I heard one last year, but don't recall when I posted the msg.
Another person (or two?) also thought they heard nighthawks. Mine--if it
existed--was near Lakewood Marina north of Seward Park in Seattle. Since
I could not stop, I had no time to be sure. Anyone else hear one? When I
was a kid in the 50s, they were always plentiful over the U District in
the summer. Maybe they'll come to the street fair this weekend?
