We have three CALLIOPE hummers (two males) at our feeder. One
GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW has been here for several days now. We
came home today and Sandy saw an egg laying on the ground
below the feeders. It appears to have been laid right there.
No cracks. It can be viewed at --

We are guessing it is a California Quail egg. It must have
just fallen out--oppps. :-)
