Today I saw a American Kestrel that caught a mouse and then
landed on a rock. No sooner did it land and a Black-billed
Magpie swooped down at it. The Kestrel took off and the Magpie
was in hot pursuit. The Magpie out flew the Kestrel and using
its beak it took the mouse right out of the Kestrel's talons!!
