As of a few days ago, passerines were late and it was
kind of cold and wet. The satellite picture I looked
at yesterday AM when I decided NOT to go to the Klamath
Basin showed the jetstream looking like a 1,000 mile
arrow aimed right at southern Oregon, with clouds
covering nearly all the state and most of Nevada
and northern CA, too.

However, Malheur in cold and wet weather's better than
no Malheur at all! At some point, the weather's going
to break and things will get nutzo.
