A magpie steals prey from a kestral in mid-air?

Considering magpies are slender, tuxedo clad crow cousins, I am not
surprised by the report of such brazen theivery. Magpies are also
cousins to the infamous "camp robbers" - gray jays and Clark's
Nutcrackers which amuse and annoy hikers with their antics.

This seems to be typical behavior of these feathered gang-bangers. Crows
reguarly hassle hawks and eagles, so why not a magpie stealing from a
kestrel?

Anybody else have Corvidae stories to share? They are such "fun" birds.
